How we work

01

Practice Workflow Mapping

We map your existing legal workflows — intake, case tracking, document handling, billing — and identify exactly where software can eliminate friction.

02

Compliance & Security Architecture

Legal platforms handle sensitive client data. We design the security architecture first: encryption, access control, audit logs, and data residency on Canadian servers.

03

Core Platform Development

We build the case management core, client portal, document storage, and calendar/scheduling system. Every feature is tested against real legal workflows.

04

AI Integration

We integrate AI-assisted document drafting, contract review, legal research summarization, and clause extraction — powered by LLMs with legal domain grounding.

05

Payment & Billing Module

We build time tracking, invoicing, trust accounting, and payment processing. Integrations with Stripe and standard legal billing formats.

06

Testing, Training & Launch

We run full user acceptance testing with real lawyers, provide training materials, and support a phased rollout to minimize disruption to active caseloads.

Frequently asked questions

Is the platform compliant with Canadian bar association requirements?

We design our legal platforms with Canadian Law Society data handling requirements in mind, including trust accounting rules and client confidentiality obligations. We recommend a legal review by your bar association before full deployment.

Can the platform handle multiple practice areas?

Yes — we build configurable workflows for family law, corporate, immigration, real estate, criminal, and more. Practice areas can be enabled or disabled per user role.

Is client data stored in Canada?

All client data is stored exclusively on AWS ca-central-1 (Montreal). We never route sensitive legal data through US-based infrastructure.

Can we integrate with existing tools like Clio or PCLaw?

We support API-based integrations with major legal practice management tools. Data migration from Clio, PCLaw, and similar systems is included in our onboarding process.

Does the AI actually understand legal language?

We use domain-specific prompting, retrieval from legal knowledge bases, and fine-tuning where necessary. The AI assists with drafting and summarization — it does not provide legal advice, and we are clear about this distinction in all user interfaces.

How long does it take to build a legal platform?

A full-featured legal platform typically takes 16–28 weeks depending on scope. A focused module (e.g., client intake + document storage) can be delivered in 8–12 weeks.

Ready to modernize your practice?

Whether you're a solo lawyer or a growing firm, we'll build a platform that fits the way you actually work.
